Title: Dirty Princes: A Standalone MMF Romantic Comedy

Author: Jo Raven

Genre: Menage Romance

Cover Designer: RBA Designs | Romantic Book Affairs

Once upon a time, there lived a princess called Brylee who had a cat and a steady job and her eye on a handsome prince.
But Prince Ryan refused to put out. So she baked cookies and buttered muffins, without any double meaning whatsoever, and saved her cherry for her prince.
Who was being difficult and not following the damn script.
Then Riddick walked through the door and ate her cookie.
Literally, okay? It was a good cookie, too, with chocolate chip.
Riddick is drop-dead gorgeous, but not a prince. Regardless, Brylee can’t fight that burning attraction.
Even when Ryan does a turn-about and starts showing interest in her, after all this time.
This isn’t how things were supposed to happen. She was supposed to get a prince, not get caught between a hot prince and a hunky pauper.
Come on.
Especially not when said prince and pauper can’t stand each other.
Brylee isn’t above letting two men fight for her. That’s the essence of a good fairytale, right? A fight, a winner, a grand wedding and a happily ever after.
It’s fine. After all, she doesn’t want them both.
At the same time. In her bed. Like, ever.

Reconnaissance.

With a wink at Simone, I get up from my rowing machine and grab my towel, then make my way toward him.

This is a huge gym, new, the machines gleaming, the people dressed in trendy exercise clothes, their MP3 players flashing as they move. Strong, lithe bodies, with barely any hint of sweat.

Self-consciously I adjust my top. It’s like everyone passed an exam to enter. It makes me wonder how Simone and I made the cut.

Not that I don’t take care of my body. I sure do, and I even drag my best friend Candy along when she’s not too busy having wild sex with her two boyfriends.

Two. Boyfriends. Did you catch that?

Total overkill if you ask me. And still no idea how she did it. I’ve been trying to get one guy—Ryan—for the past year, one—and still no dice.

It doesn’t matter. It will be worth it in the end. Not everyone gets their soulmate on the first try.

Or the hundredth, for that matter. Hundred-and-twenty-fifth to be precise. Hey, it’s a good number. These things take work.

And I do work it as I approach Ryan, as Simone advised me to do after watching Pretty Woman, swinging my hips and lifting my chin, letting my ponytail swish against my back.

He’s getting ready to start, draping his manly black towel on the seat of a rowing machine and… whoa.

Red alert. His T-shirt molds to an impressively sculpted chest and set of shoulders, his corded arms in full display, a picture straight out of Men’s Health magazine.

Holy guacamole.

Woo.

But of course I shouldn’t be shocked. I chose him. He’s everything a man should be. He just has to see I am the girl for him.

That’s why he’s single. He’s been waiting for me all along.

About Crazy Over You

My savior isn’t prince charming.

I’m not that lucky.

He’s my worst nightmare.

He’s my one-night stand from two years ago.

And he doesn’t remember me.

What happens on vacation doesn’t always stay on vacation. Especially in a place like Aspen. I moved to the mountains for my dream vet job. I never expected to run into the man of my dreams. Again.

I never thought I’d see her again.

My Cinderella didn’t leave me a shoe to find her.

Not that I’d need random footwear to recognize her.

Her kiss is something I’ll never forget.

Work hard. Play hard. I’m paid to be a nice guy on the slopes, but what I do in my off time isn’t always about making good choices. That’s the fun of living in a ski town. I stay while the women come and go.

Excerpt

“I was okay until the top of this run. I survived the road of certain extinction with rocks on one side and death on the other. Figured I was safe. Then I hit the top of this section and too much adrenaline hit me. I shouldn’t be here. I’m not this kind of girl.”

His shoulders lift with amusement. “Not what kind of girl?”

The kind of girl who would notice the drop in his voice and how the words come out sounding less like a question and more like hopeful lust. I wonder if women create fake reasons all day long to meet cute ski patrol on the mountain. How far would some women go?

All the way. They’d go all the way.

They’d do whatever it takes to meet a cute guy.

“No, not that kind of girl. I should’ve stayed with the blue runs. I’m comfortable with blue. Blue is a great color. The sky, the ocean. They’re both blue. And water. Like snow.”

His shoulders shake. “Thanks for the science lesson.”

“Stop laughing at me. I could’ve died.”

“Not on my watch. I haven’t lost a skier yet. I woke up in a good mood this morning, so I know today’s not the day to have that record broken by a beautiful woman who likes to take risks.”

My cheeks heat, but I let his compliment slip away without commenting. Is this all part of the snow bunny and skier dance? Or is he distracting me with praise?

It’s working.

“I don’t suppose there’s a way off this side of the mountain that doesn’t involve the words black or diamond?”

“Sadly, only one. Do you need the toboggan?”

Oh, hell no.

I duck my chin. I can feel the giant pom-pom on my hat droop forward. “Maybe.”

“I have another solution.”

“Does it involve further humiliation?”

“No, of course not. I can ski you down to the lift. You’ll have to go back up to get to the village, but you’ll have your choice of green and blue runs down to Fanny Hill. Or I can call for the toboggan …” His words trail off as he grabs the radio strapped to his chest.

Images of him skiing with me in his arms flash through my mind. “You’d carry me?”

He releases a surprised chuckle. “I would if necessary, but I’m thinking you’ll ski down with my help.”

The picture of him lifting me into his arms as if I weigh nothing and the two of us swooping off into the distance fades.

“How?” I peek at his profile.

“I’ll ski and you’ll hold onto my pole.”

Mara, do not make this dirty.

He shifts to stand and holds out his hand. “Think you can manage that?”

“You want me to trust you with my life?” I eye his glove, but don’t reach for it.

“I do. I’m more than qualified.” He points a gloved hand to the cross emblem on his sleeve. “See? Want a list of my credentials?”

I remain sitting. “Shouldn’t you have a St. Bernard with a barrel of whiskey around its neck to revive me?”

“First of all, my dog’s a Norwegian duck tolling retriever mix, and Fern’s too young to drink. Second, St. Bernards carry brandy.”

“Get a lot of ducks up here needing rescuing?”

“Only chicks.” He fights a grin and a dimple of suppression reveals itself on his left cheek. Dimples are the sprinkles on top of chocolate cake, and his reminds me of someone.

I narrow my eyes at his bad, and pretty sexist pun. Since he literally holds my life in his hands, I decide to stick to the safe subject of canines.

“You have a work dog? Like an avalanche dog?” I accept his hand to be lifted up.

“Not like. Is. Hardest working member of ski patrol.” He lets go of my hand to position my skis.

“I don’t suppose you have a flask in your backpack?” I gesture at the black bag I’m pretty sure is filled with first aid supplies.

He shakes his head. “Not even a thermos of cocoa.”

I finally meet his kind eyes. The irises are a surprising light, warm caramel brown with darker brown near the edge. They remind me of crème brûlée. Chocolate cake might be my favorite, but I wouldn’t kick a nice crème brûlée out of bed.

His eyes are also vaguely familiar.

    About:

The first time Detective Brian MacGregor met Priya Shah, he was bleeding. Injured apprehending a suspect, he just needed a few stitches. He didn’t expect to feel a gut punch of lust for the beautiful ER doc. But another emergency called her away before he had a chance to ask her out…or kiss her. Or find out if she shared his sudden sex-in-a-dark-hospital-room fantasy.

The second time he met Priya, she was protecting a murder witness.

Protecting is putting it strongly, if you ask Priya. Her cousin may have witnessed a murder, but she had nothing to do with it. Even if the hot ginger cop seems like the perfect solution to Priya’s summer dry spell, they both have more important things to worry about. Like finding Sara before the murderer does.

As far as Brian’s concerned, Priya is the key—her cousin is bound to come back to her eventually, and when she does, he’ll be there. They just need to keep their hands off each other until then. But when attraction burns this hot, it’s only so long before someone has to break…

BlogPost: Introducing Priya, Heroine of Hot in the City
Dr. Priya Shah just wants a full night’s sleep, a good cup of coffee, and to protect her cousin Sara from whatever trouble she’s gotten mixed up in this time. She doesn’t have the time or mental space to deal with a man, especially not dangerously sexy cop, Brian MacGregor.
Priya’s guarded and more than a little prickly—at one point Brian thinks, “he hadn’t even begun to peel her onion.” But at her heart lies a deep well of guilt over an incident from her past intertwined with a fierce love for her family. To keep that love, she’s tried to be someone she isn’t. Someone perfect. But being near Brian makes her want to detonate that good girl façade and set her inner wildness free.
    Excerpt:
After thirty-six hours on call, the last thing Priya Shah needed was to fulfill some dude’s exotic Kama Sutra fantasy. She was more than capable of getting herself off, and bonus: afterwards, she wouldn’t have to kick out some random.

So when she saw a male denim-clad thigh slide onto the neighboring barstool, she jammed a fry in her mouth and kept her eyes fixed on her book. At four o’clock in the afternoon, the Thorny Rose had plenty of empty barstools. No reason for him to sit right next to her unless he was one of those guys for whom a single woman out in public was like waving red in front of a bull. And at this moment, she just wanted her cousin to show up so she could go home for at least twelve hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Sara should have been here a half hour ago, when her shift started. She had until Priya hit the bottom of her basket of fries to show up. After that, Priya was taking her crabby self off to bed and silencing her phone. Whatever Sara desperately needed to talk to her about would just have to wait.

    “Hi,” her new neighbor said.

She flipped a page. “Not interested.”

“It’s Dr. Shah, right?” His voice was deep and warm.

She looked up and into a pair of familiar green eyes. The hot ginger cop. Was here. She dropped her book on the bar.

Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns Blog Tour + Giveaway

Country boy and city slicker. Cowboy and decorator. Bull rider and — unicorn!  Opposites powerfully attract in Tara Lain’s new romance, but can they find a way to be together? Check out Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns.

Cowboys Don’t Ride Unicorns
(Cowboys Don’t Series, #2)
By Tara Lain

Blurb

Cowboy Danny Boone—a name he made up one drunken night and has regretted ever since—harbors a big past and yearns for a small future. A short, bright career as a champion bull rider almost ended in his death when his homophobic father discovered Danny was gay. Now Danny longs for a plot of land he can build a ranch house on and enough money to make up for some of the education he missed.

Danny also hides a preference for beautiful femmes who like to top—a combo rarer than a unicorn. Then onto the guest ranch where Danny works drives San Francisco decorator Laurie Belmont, a young man so gorgeous he makes horses gasp, and so ballsy he almost kills Danny’s attacker.

Laurie’s trying to find his way out from under the thumb of a domineering mother, helpless father, and rich, privileged boyfriend. But no matter the attraction, their lives are worlds apart, and cowboys don’t ride unicorns.

Excerpts

“I want to see what’s ahead.” He coaxed Tramp into a trot and then a canter, and before Danny could even register it, he was in a full-on gallop.

“Shit!” Danny glanced at Grove, who looked worried. Danny frowned. “Should I go after him? He’s pretty sure in the saddle, but he doesn’t know the area.”

“Yes, please. He’s pissed, and he’s got a wicked temper. Plus he’s fond of biting off more than he can chew.”

Danny scrubbed the accompanying image of Laurie’s biting and chewing from his brain and took off after him at speed. Danny rode Star Gazer, a beautiful black Arabian who had lots of speed on Tramp, but Laurie had a head start.

Danny galloped down the path, looking for signs of Tramp ahead. Finally he saw the flick of her tail rounding a corner, and he turned Star Gazer into the rough and ran catty-corner to intercept Laurie. When Danny came up beside Tramp, Laurie rode easily, grinning and obviously having way too much fun. Danny waved him down. “Stop, damn it.”

Laurie gave him a pouty look but slowed Tramp to a trot. “What’s wrong?”

“Just stop.”

Laurie frowned and pulled up Tramp.

Danny waved a hand to the right. “There’s a little stream over there. Let her get a drink.” He walked Star Gazer through the trees to the trickle of water, so precious in drought-ridden California.

Laurie dismounted and dropped his reins, letting Tramp get her own water.

Danny did the same, and as Star Gazer walked to the stream, Danny turned on Laurie. “First, you don’t know this area. Going that fast, you could have hit barbed wire, or for that matter, the highway that comes up fast in a half mile. Second, Tramp isn’t an Arabian. Yes, she’s got some speed, but she’s older and not bred to gallop for that long.”

“I asked to ride the Palomino.” He crossed his arms.

“And you may get to if it’s okay with Rand, but you’ve got to respect the horses, and making them pay for your temper isn’t the way to do it.”

Laurie’s eyes widened a bit; then he stared at his boots. “Tramp seems more than willing to run.”

Danny stepped closer. “A quality of horses you should be aware of is that they don’t always act in their own best interests. The same can be said for some humans.” Breathe. “You shouldn’t be riding alone. Period.”

Laurie stepped closer and thrust his pretty face toward Danny. “Okay, simple. You can ride with me.”

“I’ve got work to do.”

“News flash.” Laurie took another step. “I am your work.”

One more step and they’d be nose-to-nose—or lips-to-lips. Danny stared at that mouth like it held the secrets of the universe. What would those lips taste like? Big cowboy in the sky, help me.

Two hours later he’d drawn his bull—a huge sucker named Scorpion, and from the looks on Maury’s team’s faces, he must have the sting to go with the name. As they walked to the chutes, Maury clapped a hand on Danny’s shoulders. “Careful. Don’t underestimate Scorpion. He’s meaner than piss.”

“Sounds like not my luckiest draw.”

“Well, let’s just say he’ll earn a lot of points.”

Danny propped himself on the fence and slid onto the broad back, feeling the heat of the animal under him. He worked with the rope puller Maury had provided to get his bull rope in exactly the tautness and configuration he liked best. Scorpion shifted restlessly but didn’t try to slam Danny against the fence. Danny leaned down toward the twitching ear. “I’m your friend, Scorpion. I’ll make you look good if you return the favor.”

The cowboy closest to Danny chuckled.

The announcer called, “Next up, we got a new rider named Danny Boone. If you’ve been in California lately, you know Danny’s been doing his share of winning. So let’s see if he’s up to the great state of Nevada.”

Danny adjusted his vest, planted his hat, wrapped his hand tight enough to hold but not so tight he couldn’t let go—and nodded.

Fucking hell broke loose. The bull leaped out of the stall in a full breakaway—not a move bulls usually performed. Danny vaguely heard the crowd gasp over his own intake of breath. She-it. Just pretend he’s a bronc. Danny flapped his loose hand toward the sky and adjusted the roll of his hips and movement of his spine to accommodate the bull’s unique style. He spurred for a couple of extra points, but truth was he could barely stay on this sucker. Just try to look good. The hurt didn’t exist—until later.

Scorpion sunfished, throwing his legs to the side, and Danny rode the buck, trying like a son of a bitch to look in control. Wham! All four hooves hit the ground straight-legged, and the impact shot up Danny’s back in a bolt of pain. Much longer and that bell on the bull’s belly would be tolling for Danny. For an instant Laurie’s face flashed in his mind.

After what felt like an hour, the horn sounded.

He waited for old Scorpion to stop spinning, kicked to the side, and landed standing. Scorpion hadn’t taken kindly to Danny’s offer of friendship and took off after him like he’d been given a contract on his life. Danny leaped to the side and let Scorpion sail past. Two bullfighters jumped in front of Scorpion, but the damned bull was hard to distract. He swiped at Danny twice more, getting lots of reaction from the crowd, and finally stampeded after the bullfighters, who lured him into the exit chute.

Danny walked out of the arena too as the announcer said, “Looks like Danny Boone can take on the big dogs with the best of them. Good ride.”

A couple of guys slapped his shoulder, and he nodded. Don’t let ’em see you sweat.

She fought the urge like mad to scoot closer to her potential client and find out what lay beneath those blue plaid boxers. Her good sense and professionalism warred with her very long-ignored womanly needs.

“Are you having sexy thoughts about me?” Ben asked, breaking into her sexy thoughts. Because his sexy had returned.

“Huh? Of course—not.” Her eyes were unfocused.

“You are. You want to sit on my lap again,” he accused.

“That—wouldn’t be wise.” But God, it would feel so good.

“Stop it! I’m asking for help, here, and you want to climb the tower of Ben.”

“Okay, this isn’t headed anywhere good,” Sabine said.

“Make you a deal.” He appeared deadly serious.

“I’m listening.”

“You stay here tonight—” He held up a hand to stop her shocked protest. “Listen. I’m suggesting I sleep off my beers, make a call to my buddy to have your car cleaned, and we discuss plans for my therapy. And I’ll make eggs in the morning. If you still look at me like that after I’ve sobered up, then, I’ll have no choice but to kiss you again.”

She couldn’t really see a flaw in his plan. Certainly, there were many, but right now, she was seriously charmed by a stinky, post-vomitous guy with a great house. “Um. I’m not sure that’s wise.”

“Why?”

“Because I’m a little distracted by your sitting there in your underwear.”

His eyes changed, the atmosphere between them became charged. “I knew it.”

“Go take a shower and brush your teeth.”

Both laughed at that. Sabine had no idea where this might lead, but either way, she was certain it was a bad idea. Bad.

writing on her fortieth birthday. Better than a hot young boyfriend or a red
convertible as mid-life crises go. Her first Southern women’s fiction
title, Again, Alabama, was published a mere eight years later, with
the second, Love, Alabama, and her latest, Forever, Alabama,
following closely behind. Growing up in a small town in Louisiana, Susan’s
passion for reading sparked her interest in writing. She now creates stories
about the quirky characters and fascinating relationships that are uniquely
Southern.

Title: Dream Daddy (A Daddy’s Best Friend Romance)

Author: Emilia Beaumont

Genre: Romance

Untouched and unmarked by the world, Lola Ray is the sunshine that I never thought I needed in my life. She’s the perfect petal on a cherry blossom tree aching to be plucked and pillaged.

I long to touch her, to make her mine. To tie her up and fuck her. I know it’s wrong… she is after all my best friend’s daughter.

But as I look closer, as I start to give in to temptation, I begin to see the scars she’s so desperate to hide.

They run deep. Like an abyss she cannot escape. A nightmare that never ends. Scars so raw that I’m not sure she can ever be healed.

However there is one thing that I know has the chance to make her whole again. And I won’t stop until all her dreams come true.
