                                Interview: 

1.) What inspired you to write Swinging At Love? Actually, the story idea came from my editor, Heather Howland. We’d just wrapped up The Bad Boy Bargain, and looking for plot ideas for book two in the series. She asked, “What about a heroine whose family business—a batting cage—is going under, and a hero whose in a batting slump?”  I was sold.

2.) What was the hardest part in writing Swinging At Love?  This is probably the most real couple I’ve ever written, but the hardest part was portraying Alyssa’s friendship with Lauren. Usually, my characters are best friends in all senses of the word. Writing a more complicated friendship was tough, but rewarding in the end.

3.) What was the easiest part in writing Swinging At Love? The kissing scenes, of course! And the baseball…I’m a baseball nut. 

4.) Which Character do you feel more connected to?  Probably Alyssa. I can understand the struggle of wanting something so much, but having a very real chance of failure looming over it.

5.) Do you have anything new coming up and if so can you tell us about it?  Book three in the Suttonville Sentinels series is in editing right now, and stars Tristan’s best friend Dylan, alongside newcomer Lucy. It’s releasing this summer, and centers around a summer baseball camp, with a fire/ice relationship, a precocious younger brother, and a flock of chickens. You’ll have to trust me on that last one.
